Rural Rajasthan Volunteering Project
Shake Hands is active in
a remote area of rural Rajasthan through Jiliya project. Jiliya: The
village, Jiliya, is the rural Rajasthan project site of the
organization. Jiliya is situated in the District Nagaur in the State
Rajasthan. Nagaur is one of economically underdeveloped district of
the state. Being a desert area, the district suffers from lack of
water. About 5000 people live in the village of Jiliya. 99% of the
villagers of Jiliya are Hindus. The majority of the villagers are
involved in agricultural activities, but because of the ongoing
drought they benefit very little from this.

| Fill out and submit the application form and
when your application is approved, you will receive a request
money email within 48 hours to deposit application fee of USD $200
to secure your place in the program. Once your application fee is
deposited, your place on the program will be secured and you will
receive a written confirmation of the same.
