A day in the life of a volunteer
On working days, volunteers get up and have breakfast before heading out to their volunteer sites. Our staff provides transportation to and from the volunteer site of your choice. At the volunteer site, you will spend approximately four hours. Lunch is provided by family. Open afternoons provide volunteers the opportunity to explore the city and learn about the local culture and customs. Evening meals provide another exciting chance to enjoy authentic food provided by host family. The food is delicious and healthy and takes full advantage of local cooking traditions. The weekends are free time, where you can choose to relax or explore the local area. Volunteers often travel to other parts of the country on the weekends. If you don't know where to go don't worry; ask the staff, they are always happy to make recommendations.
Where we are based in Dharamshala

Dharamshala is known for its scenic
beauty, calmness and tranquillity. It
has high pine trees, tea gardens and
