How to Apply

Fill out and submit the online
application form regarding your personal information, choice of
volunteering program, program location and others.

A Shake Hands team member will review your application and when your
application is approved, you will receive a Request Money email within
48 hours to pay $200 towards your application fee.

Once your application fee is done, your place on the program is
secured; you will receive a written confirmation regarding your
volunteer program and a separate email of Request Money to
pay your rest of the program fee.

We would advise you please pay your rest of the program fee at least 20 days prior to your departure date; so that we can
manage the best for you.

After receiving final payment, the Hand Book containing all the
information regarding your pre-departure, program schedule,
activities, work area information, accommodation and others will be
sent to you 7 days prior to your departure date.
Please Note:

The application fee secures your place on the program and it’s
included in your program cost. The application fee is refundable, accordance with our legal terms & conditions of
services.

If your program start date is more than
20 days from time of applying, you may deposit application fee of $
200 per person, and please pay your rest of the program fee by at
least 20 days prior to your departure date

If you are applying for any program
location within 20 days of program start date please pay in full but
this full payment must be done by at least 15 days prior to program
start date and before apply, participants should be ask about seat
availability.

All charges incurred by the payment of the program fee are at the
volunteer's expense, e.g. if a bank transfer incurs a bank fee at the
point of origin, that is at the expense of the volunteer.
